Academic Requirements

Undergraduate Students:

• An accepted degree plan for a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems on file with UHCL Registrar
• Either a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all college work or a 3.25 for the last 60 hours or a 3.5 for the last 30 hours
• Completed or currently enrolled in Intermediate Accounting I or Programming in C to pledge

Graduate Students:

• An accepted degree plan for a Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems on file with UHCL Registrar
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all upper-level courses in your declared major
• A cumulative GPA of 3.5 for all graduate classes at UHCL.
• Completed or currently enrolled in Intermediate Accounting I or Programming in C to pledge

Chapter Requirements

Candidates:

To gain Membership:

• Attend Orientation
• Turn in a completed application with transcripts
• Pay the $25 chapter membership fee
• Pay the $55 National one-time pledge fee
• Complete 5 hours of Professional Activities¹
• Complete 2 hours of Service Activities²
• Complete 7 hours in the BAP Tutoring Lab
• Attend 1 Social Event
• Accumulate $45 of Fundraising
• Attend the initiation and officer election ceremony
• Participate in the BAP Rose Sale at commencement

Members:

To maintain an Active Status:

• Pay the $25 chapter membership fee
• Complete 5 hours of Professional Activities¹
• Complete 2 hours of Service Activities²
• Attend 1 Social Event
• Accumulate $45 of Fundraising
• Attend the initiation and officer election ceremony

Additional Information:

¹ Includes speaker meetings, seminars, etc. At least 5 hours must be BAP sponsored. Any additional professional hours may be counted as points for the chapter.
